Summertime in May...time for reunion

What a weekend. The wheather has been mostly fantastic and the temperature as hot as in the high summer here in Sweden.

I took the time to spend a weekend in my hometown at my country house and also some family gathering, which was a great happening in many ways.

First the working part. This weekend I brought my boys with me and we ( I ) had made some plans that they should help me with some hard work that was waiting. Carry a lot of stuff down the road, make the grass and also do some fixing with the terrace. I can tell, the motivation was not to high but increased when i told them it was an opportunity to make some pocket money for the coming vacation.

They worked, not with the love and energy I wanted, but they did. And I did. And the sun was shining heavily on our white bodies and it was lovely. I managed to fix the garden house to a house where we now can enter and bring some plants, vegetables and potatoes very soon. I love that. And mostly Robin, who loves to watch the strawberries and cucombers to be visible and grow lovely.

Second, the family gathering. This dinner held by my mother is the first gathering in 16 years with both my sister, me, my uncle and my mother at the same table. Yes, you read right. And the story behind that is just a whole book , so I leave it for now. Add on my sons and my sisters husband and we just had a great time together and had some excellent food. We managed to stay together all of us without any fights, and I was happy about that but also very aware of the atmosphere during the time.

My teenager sons were not so very extremly happy as they were bored almost in 10 minutes and after the dinner, but managed in a good way to stay cool and great.

We went back to our house quiet early, just to realize that the TV did not work and that I am such an untechnical woman... I guess. I did through away one thing to much this time..... To be able to bring in the TV i need to have a Dvd player attached to the TV, and I just did not know that,,, and I drove it to the garbage station.

Do you think my boys were happy? eh.... we did our best to play some cards and just stay close, but it is hard to amuse young people today. Especially if there is a girlfriend home waiting and texting all the time. ...

I have got a bad cold this weekend, and also a bad scar thrue my small leg today.
I am just to clumsy. I wanted to fix the grass today... and i can tell I got both hit and scared by falling into the bush... Sometimes I just wish I had a handy man to call in, some things are not just my favourites.... is that ok?

I hope so. Enjoy the lovely Swedish weather as long as you can, soon we will have another temperature again. Back to normal..
